BGMI Stylish Names

BGMI stylish names help you stand out in Battlegrounds Mobile India lobbies. But BGMI has the strictest nickname limit of any major game — read the byte rule below before you fall in love with a long decorated name.

Copied!

The 14-Byte Limit (Read This First)

BGMI caps nicknames at 14 bytes. Plain English letters use 1 byte each, but fancy Unicode symbols use 2 to 4 bytes each. A name like Ⓐⓐⓡⓐⓥ might look short but can eat the whole budget in a few characters. If BGMI refuses your name or cuts it off, the fix is simple: pick a shorter style or a plainer one. Small Caps, Bold, and Leet Speak give you the most characters for your bytes.

How to Rename in BGMI

Tap your profile avatar, then the rename icon beside your nickname. You need a Rename Card (from events, missions, or the shop) or UC. Paste your styled name into the field and confirm. The new name shows in lobbies, matches, and on the leaderboard.

No Spaces in BGMI Either

Like PUBG, BGMI rejects the spacebar in nicknames. Use the invisible Hangul filler character between brackets [ㅤ] wherever you want a gap — it pastes as a blank BGMI accepts.

Best Styles for BGMI

Because of the byte limit, the best BGMI names are short and punchy: 4 to 8 characters in Bold, Squared, or a single-decoration style like Star Bold. Test the full name in the rename preview before spending your Rename Card.
